A Disston WWII Military Folding Crosscut Saw c1942 - Rare!
This is an incredible Military Hand Saw Made by Disston in the USA for the Australian Infantry. The Canvas bag for this saw has the Australian Broad Arrow Mark on it. This would be used if a tree was in the way of a vehicle proceeding.... or to cut trees down to create a protective firing position etc. The crosscut saw unwraps, the two brass handles unscrew in the middle and the ring at the end of the saw gets placed between the handles and they are screwed back up again. Then you have a crosscut saw requiring two men to saw through timber. This is a rare piece in rare condition. The teeth on this are still very sharp.
