In short you agreed to the following

1) You are aware our descriptions are the best we can do to help remote bidders get a handle on what each lot is. We describe with the very best intentions. Any error in description is bad luck. You are buying from an auction (so no guarantees or warranty) This is why we post our catalogue online at least 5 days before the auction ends. To give you plenty of time to email us for further info or for more pictures. You All love buying at Auction House prices, then you must accept the occasional liability of buying from an auction house. We only want to be selling the real McCoy.... so if we have listed it we believe in it. That being said we cannot guarantee any lot, so please take that into account when bidding.
3) This auction has live viewing the Friday before the Live Sale 10am to 4pm. If you are too far away to view, that does not absolve you of your ability to view. So being too far away does not mean you can blame us for all your assumptions... LIVE VIEW .... OR AT LEAST .... ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE THE AUCTION!!, we are more than happy to send more pictures on any lot to help you try and verify authenticity and condition. Our Advice... if in doubt, don't bid. we have many more customers who will bid and buy it and be happy, we only want happy customers.

Lets be clear... unless you can live view... you may be taking a punt... you may buy a sleeper and be able to retire, or you may make an error and lose your bid price + premiums... So IF YOU HAVE A CONCERN OR AN ENQUIRY, EMAIL US BEFORE THE AUCTION AND WE WILL SEND YOU MORE PICS AND HELP YOU WHERE WE CAN. EYE VISIBLE DAMAGE IS SOMETHING WE CAN BE CRYSTAL CLEAR ON.

4) For Overseas Bidders that pay online with their credit card, we reserve the right to hold those purchases for 30 days before releasing them for postage. This is due to the huge amount of fraud purchases we are getting with overseas buyers using stolen credit cards. Yes True !!
5) Our Multiple pictures form part of our description, so please view them all before emailing us for more photos to be sent to your personal email.

Also please do not bid, then tell us.... (the auction house)..... to get you a freight price to your satisfaction before you pay. We are not a freight company, that is your job ! Your winning bid does not include freight or postage... that is on top of the winning bid price. We can direct you to businesses that will do that, but do not bid.... expecting us to do that for you.

Bottom line is.....

DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY, OR WANT TO PLAY GAMES.

WE FIND THE BEST ANTIQUITIES GOING AROUND, AND YOUR BID IS LEGALLY BINDING. We now have an agreement with a collections agency who will pursue you if you bid and do not pay.

BTW: we are not like other auction houses, we put multiple photo's up of almost every lot. So please make sure you view them all to get a good photographic idea of each lot. Often the extra photo's will help you decide on quality and condition. There is also a magnifying program for close ups :)

Main Term: This is Auction Buying, Australian Consumer Law recognises auction sales as buying as is, where is, with no guarantees or warranties.

Payments: Strictly Due 48 Hours after the Auction

Commissions: Bidding in rooms live is only 20% + GST, bidding online and registering through our website is 30% + GST, bidding through the Invaluable platform is 33% +GST. Note buyers as of Dec 12th 2024 Invaluable are charging all bidders that purchase items less than $200 a $10 per lot fee. Not $1 of that comes to our auction house, that all goes to invaluable... so please contact Invaluables customer care line to complain about this charge not us. Thank you

Collection: Must Be By the First Friday 5pm after each Auction. If your goods are not collected within the first 5 days after the auction you will be charged $10 per lot per day up until the cost of your item has accrued in storage fees, then the auction house will consider the goods abandoned and the auction will take ownership of the items and sell them in our next sale to recoup our storage fees.
Transport: Call Pack and Send Southport for small items, and Mullumbimby Removals or Grace Removals for east coast furniture delivery.

Shipping

We now have a link on our website that will direct you to Pack and Send for collection and shipping of your purchases. There are two local Pack and Sends you can obtain quotes from... Springwood (07 3299 3904) or Southport. For all larger items just email us and we can suggest a number of carriers to assist with interstate or local door to door delivery. We do not have time to ship anymore so please understand you must use Pack & Send, or Furniture carriers for larger items. Collection time frame is strictly 5 days after the auction... which is by 5pm the Friday following the sale. If items are not collected by then..... the storage fees are $10 Per Lot per day. These will accrue until the storage fees are equal to or higher than the price paid for the items purchased, then they will be considered abandoned and the Auction house will assume ownership of these itmes and will sell these to pay for the unpaid storage.
