Selling with Danielle Elizabeth Auctions
For estates and large consignments please call us to make an appointment with our Director on 0426 254 797.
If you have digital images of the items you wish to sell you are welcome to email those through to us at [email protected] and we can provide you with possible auction estimates based on these images. Bear in mind these estimates do not constitute a formal appraisal of the fair market value of the property, and are not generally suitable for insurance or other purposes.
Selling at Auction
As we are not a general auction house but try to deal in the quality end of the market. We cannot accept every item you wish to consign. Each entry will be vetted to make sure they are of the quality and interest to our specialized buyers.
If your item is accepted for sale (at our discretion) we sometimes allow vendors to reserve their item if we think we still have a shot at selling it. If we do not sell an item, we do not get a commission and we cannot pay our rent. Our Business is to sell. So please understand reserves are at our discretion. After the auction if the reserve was not met, the vendor has three days after the auction to collect, or to resubmit the item unreserved for the second sale. Due to the work we do on each item once we receive it, if an item is withdrawn from our sale once catalogued (from any auction) there will be a $50 withdrawal fee per lot charged. Please note items cannot be withdrawn after we have posted the catalogue online.
Vendors with sold items will be sent a detailed sales invoice within 14 days of the auction end, with payment via wire transfer into their designated account as noted on their original consignment form. Sales commission is 20% plus GST.
If Vendors Submit items into our sale with an unreserved sale price and it does not sell, or if they submit it reserved, but it does not sell..... These goods must be collected within 3 days after the auction, or the vendor understands that reserved items will be stored at a $10 per lot per day fee, and the unreserved lots not collected may be sent off to Charity to be sold and do good in our community. We are regular contributors to St Vincent De Paul, The Salvos, and the Animal Welfare League.
NEW INVALUABLE CHARGES: Folks we have not raised or changed our commissions or fees in over 4 years. However this year in November 2024..... Invaluable has notified us of new charges they are slugging the auction room and the buyers of items that sell for under $200. So we must pass these new charges on or we will be in liquidation.
Our only extra charge to help mitigate these new charges are a $10 Per lot fee from each vendor on top of our normal Commissions. So if you consign say five lots. Apart from your normal sales commissions of 22% inc GST, you will in that case also pay $50 + GST. Not a huge fee, but one you need to know about. Please remember this is not about us the Auction house making more money, its about tackling the new charges charged by Our Auction Host Invaluable. These new fees kick in starting December 12th 2024
