A Bronze Plaque of Bernard Raymond 19th Century
Bernard Raymond was a very interesting figure in early 19th Century France. He studied and received two medical degrees, In 1804 he founded the Order of the Temple, in 1812 he founded the Johannite church, then in 1814 he was awarded the legion of honour for his defence of Paris, and in 1830 he received the July Medal for his actions during the 3 days of Revolution in Paris. He was an important figure, and this is a heavy 19th Century bronze plaque with his Name embossed around the outside. The plaque is set in a square ebonised Victorian Frame. This is a good piece. It measures 17cm wide by 19cm high
