A Full Copper Stagecoach Foot Warmer c1890
This is a cool old piece of History. When folks were being transported by Stagecoach before cars were invented, during the winter it was frigidly cold inside the coach, so stagecoach operators would hand their passengers one of these Copper cylinders filled with hot water so they could place their feet on it and try to stay warm. Over long distances the stagecoach driver would pull over to rest the horses for a bit... start a fire, and boil more water to put in the copper and keep it piping hot for the next leg of the trip. This piece is in good condition. It measures 27cm wide
