Description:

A German Afrika Corps Field Flag 1941
This is a stunning genuine WWII German Army Antiquity. This flag is the field flag for the DAK (Deutsches Afrika Corps). On Feb 21 1941 an Expeditionary force was sent into Afrika by Hitler, under the command of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel. This was the seal of the Afrikan Corp and would have flown from vehicles or tanks or tents at the time. This is very sun faded from its original green, and it is stained. The Sewn Afrika Corp lettering down the right hand side is original and was sewn onto sleeves etc. The left hand Band is reproduction to show how the uniform wording was in the beginning with its stripes etc. This lot has been framed. This flag is a very rare Military Antiquity !
