A Heavy Pewter Wall Sculpture of the Gdansk Crane Gate
This crane gate was first built in 1373 and was destroyed many times by fire and re-built. The gate was used to protect the city, and act as a lifting device to load ships and to insert masts into sailing and merchant ships. This plaque is a hand carved timber depiction of the gate and overlayed with pewter sheeting which is then hammered over the carving. This is an old European Art Piece.
It measures 54cm by 41cm and is quite heavy
