A Hitler Youth AHS School Yard Flag c1937-1944
During 1937-1944 in Germany there were 12 Elite Boarding Schools setup and run by the SS. Their aim was to indoctrinate young people into the ideologies of the Nazi Party. The schools taught children aged 14-18 and they were single sex schools. There were 3 girls schools and 9 boys schools. This flag was the schoolyard flag from one of these schools. The provenance we have is that our vendors brother was one of the allies sent to pull down and dispose of all Nazi Items after they lost the war. He kept this and has had it in his possession until recently passing away. This is part of the clearance of his estate for the beneficiaries of his will.
This rare piece of Militaria measures 110cm wide by 220cm long and bar some old water stains is in excellent physical condition, with its original binding.
