A Large 19th Century Masons Ironstone Pitcher
Gee this is a nice old High Quality Piece. This is a 19th Century, large and substantial, Mason's Ironstone Hydra jug or pitcher in the Basket Japan pattern.
The jug has a notched snake handle and is decorated in the distinctive "Basket Japan" pattern, using bold painted enamels of cobalt blue, green and burnt orange all in various shades.
The jug is in very good condition.... no chips or cracks, and rare as.... where would you find another one?
It measures approx 20cm high by 20cm wide (inc Handle)
