A Miniature Mutter Chest Medal - Very rare !
A miniature version of the Mother's Cross measures about 2 cm with reverse-side inscription, attached to a blue-white ribbon bow. The miniature was an optional supplement, that could be purchased privately from relevant authorized supply stockists such as high-street jewellers or directly from the LDO (Leistungsgemeinschaft der Deutschen Ordenshersteller). These crosses are very rare as they were not given.. if you had earned one you could apply to buy this one for everyday wear. So there would be far less of these than the full size one in the market today. This piece is in excellent condition. The Nazi Party issued these on Mothers day each year only.
