A Pair of 19th Century George Washington Chromolithographs
This is a very early pair of Chromolithographs c1880. Chromolithographs were an early form of Coloured lithographs invented around c1875. Hallett & Co. in the US were one of the first companies to use this new technology. This is a left and right image of the First President of the United States George Washington, and his wife Martha Washington. These are in their original c1880 faux grain painted frames and have hand rolled glass fronts. These are very good pieces in very good condition. The backing panels are also the original panelled boards. Each one measures approx 42cm high by 32cm wide
