A Polished 23cm High Orthoceras Fossil - Read On !
A 23cm Polished Orthoceras Fossil, also known as Orthoceratites. It is a genus of extinct nautiloid cephalopod. Its name is derived from the words "straight horn", referring to it's long, conical shell. These creatures roamed the seas during the Ordovician Period (485 million - 443 million years ago). They are the ancient ancestors of ammonites and squid that can be found in sizes ranging from a centimeter to over 14 feet long. Orthoceras are commonly found on a rock matrix,most of the time being limestone. A majority of specimens on the market have been coming out of Morocco, Scandinavia, Sweden, and the Baltic states.....

Regards all other fragile or larger items ....We now have a link on our website that will direct you to Pack and Send for collection and shipping of your purchases. There are two local Pack and Sends you can obtain quotes from... Springwood (07 3299 3904) or Southport. For all larger items needing transport within Australia....just email us and we can suggest a number of carriers to assist with local door to door delivery. please understand you must use Pack & Send, or Furniture carriers for larger items. Collection time frame is strictly 5 days after the auction... which is by 5pm the Friday following the sale. If items are not collected by then..... the storage fees are $10 Per Lot per day. These will accrue until the storage fees are equal to or higher than the price paid for the items purchased, then they will be considered abandoned and the Auction house will assume ownership of these items and will sell these to pay for the unpaid storage.
