Robert Fletcher is recorded working as a clock & watch maker at several Chester addresses in the late 18th century ~ Linenhall Street 1782, Higher Bridge Street 1792, Foregate Street 1789-95. The family business was later taken over by his son, (also Robert) right around c1800. This clock is working fine, has been regularly serviced, and although a casing reflecting its age, it wouldnt take much to make this grand old piece perfect again.
