A Very Interesting Banned Piece From the Chinese Cultural Revolution
How interesting is this. During the rise and the reign of Mao's Communist party there was a significant cultural revolution that started in 1966. Essentially Mao turned started the revolution to destroy his enemies, by unleashing the people on the party and urging them to purify its ranks. Gangs of students and red guards attacked people wearing Good Clothes, imperialist signs were torn down, and Intellectuals had their possessions taken and confiscated. This lot is one of those items stolen from an Intellectual. They sealed it in a cardboard tube and it has never been opened. It was found recently hidden in an old piece of Furniture that came out from China. The tube is 32cm long, we have no idea whats inside. It is an historical Lucky Dip !!
