A Victorian Mary Gregory Vase w/ Muscat Bullet Hole
Its not often you get a Stunning Victorian Glass Piece with a Muscat bullet hole from the American Civil War. Mary Gregory glassware dates from1856-1908, and the American civil war was 1861-1865. So the provenance here fits. This was a piece from the great great grandfather of our vendor who has had this piece handed down from generation to generation with the story that it was shot during a raid from the South in the American civil war..... and the muscat round shot through the window and stopped in the back of this Mary Gregory vase. So it has a hole in the glass about 3 inches below the handle. Apart from that this piece is in excellent undamaged condition. The perfect vase for a dried flower arrangement. You will not find another with this kind of provenance !
It measures 24cm high
