A Victorian Oak Long Case Grandfather Clock c1880
This clock has an Inscription on the face that says "John Cole - Newport", it turns out John Cole (1843-1899) was in the British Military, and when he retired he built clocks. This is a wonderful old handmade Victorian oak Longcase clock. With hand cast weight and original pendulum...It might need a service as it has sat for a while but was working last used.... Impressive.
Note the Brass cherubs in each corner holding the Queens Crown (Victoria that is )
Measures 210cm high by 50cm wide - good condition.
