Bronze and Marble "Rape of the Sabines"
One of the Classics. This is titled "The rape of the Sabines" which is a famous scene from Roman History when a group of men went running through neighbouring towns and captured up the women to return them to their own homeland to secure the next generation of soldiers. The term Rape in this title actually comes from the Latin term "Raptio" which means to capture. This is cast in solid bronze, and fixed to a solid marble base. Its in excellent condition.
It measures 66cm high
