Lot 160
Four Big Gun Casings - WWII and Vietnam
This is a lot of four big gun casings. The largest is a Marks 3-5 Gun which is a Naval Gun Casing from a US warship during the Vietnam War marked 1970. The mid sized round has indistinguishable markings at the base, but the two same size rounds are marked 40mm Mark 2 ,1944 fired during the end of WWII. 40mm Guns were predominantly anti-aircraft weapons so these were spent shooting down enemy planes.
This is a rare and collectible lot for the Military collector. All four being sold together. And if you are anti-war these would look really nice with flowers planted in them :)
