Joshua Ebataringa (1940-1973) - Hermannsburg School
Joshua Ebataringa was noted as one of the finest Hermannsburg School artists, the son of prominent artist Walter Ebataringa. He died very early at the age of 33 and his huge potential was not fulfilled. At the age of 20 was when he started to showcase his talent and he was on the rise. Many of his paintings were based around Haasts Bluff near Papunya, where Joshua was often seen selling his art with Keith Namatjira. His surviving works today hang in the Australian National Gallery, as well as The Northern territory and Alice Springs Art Galleries. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of Joshua's Original Watercolours. Its signed and in very good condition. It measures approx 65cm wide by 50cm high (in frame)
