"Mt Warning" - Signed J.J. Hughes (1820-1909)
This is a spectacular 19th Century Oil Painting by John Joseph Hughes (1820-1909). This is marked Mount Warning NSW to the back..... and signed J.J. Hughes to the front left corner. J.J Hughes is a very well regarded UK Artist, and this is the first one i have ever seen of his with an Australian Scene. He may have visited for a holiday at some point towards the end of the 19th century,
Beautiful Moody Lake Scene genuine 19th century and in a period gilded Frame.
The frame measures 90cm wide by 67cm high
