Lot 227
Possibly 17th Century Imari Charger - From Sir James' Personal Coillection
The only thing thats throwing me off is how immaculate this piece is. It has the FUKU (good luck) mark to the base, the internal Celadon glazing inside down to the design, then its all hand painted and in the very early Imari pattern. This is a very good piece, but as always folks please have a look and make up your own mind. This was on display on that fancy large plate stand in Sir Johns place (as his granddaughter -our vendor) - remembers growing up). This will be one of the best condition Imari pieces you will find of this age. It measures 32cm diameter
