Secret Papers Given To Pilot Bombing Hitlers Home in 1945
What a war time antiquity this is. This paper was given to Norm Gampe as he was boarding his Lancaster as the lead Bomber for the Berchtesgaden Bombing mission (Hitlers Home) in 1945.
This paper came from the British War office and is labeled secret at the top right.
It is instructions that if you get shot down and survived.... get to an F.W. 190 aircraft. {The Focke-Wulf (Fw 190) is a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s, and widely used by the Germans during World War II. Along with its well-known counterpart, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the FW 190 became the backbone of the Luftwaffe Fighting Force}. These planes were considered the easiest aircraft to start up un-aided, and this piece of paper were clear instructions on how to start one and fly back to England.
A very rare and Valuable Piece of wartime History. It is in good condition and measures 21cm long by 13cm wide
