The Air Warden Honour Award 2nd Class. Luftschutz-Ehrenzeichen
This is a Nazi Germany Air Warden Honour Ribbon 2nd Class. This was awarded for Bravery. The Air Warden Honour Award 2nd Class was awarded for bravery in the Reichluftschutzbund (RLB) (National Air Raid Protection League) and could be awarded to members of the Luftschutz but also to factory guards, fire fighters, police etc. The recipient did however have to have already been 4 years in service with the Luftschutz.
The Reichsluftschutzbund was an organization in Nazi Germany in charge of air raid precautions in residential areas and among smaller businesses. The RLB was in charge of educating and training ordinary German men and women in civil defence procedures necessary for the basic level of local self-help of the civil population against air raids.
