Lot 56
Three Baseball Bats & a Rare Antique Vigoro Bat
This lot includes two excellent American (Probably Hickory) baseball bats, one smaller training bat, and lastly a rare Antique Vigoro Bat. Vigoro is a team sport, played mainly by women in Australia, that originally combined elements of cricket and tennis, although in its current form it may be more similar to cricket and baseball. The game was invented in 1901 by Englishman John George Grant. The bat in this lot looks very much like a period c1901 bat and is a very cool old sporting artefact. The Vigoro bat measures 78cm long. Winning bidder gets all four bats.
