Two Early 20th Century Feature Purses c1940's
This is such an interesting social snapshot. Inside the Embroidered purse had contents of a comb, a mesh coin purse, a mirror to check ones makeup, a calling card by Aunt Bessie in 1948 and a bar of Lux Soap. Classic social history. That aside these purses are both Made in London. The black one is by Finnegans of Londan who was a famous Irish Immigrant who made leather and fashion goods right through until 1988, these purses are in excellent condition, and still functional and useable today.
They measure approx 17cm wide each
