Two Qing Dynasty Carved Agate Pieces - Snuff Bottle & Cicada 19th C
These are a stunning pair of Carved Agate Pieces from the Qing Dynasty Period China. The Snuff Bottle has carved Peaches in relief all over the outside (the symbol for longevity, with a full carved ivory stopper and scoop. The other piece is a carved agate Cicada, with legs carved underneath. These are good pieces. Both of these were in Sir Johns Personal Antiquity Collection. No damage to any piece. The snuff bottle measures 90mm high
