Description:

Interesting Pre-Inca Textile Lot - Approx 600 AD
Rare As !.... what we have here is a Pre-inca Cerecloth which Sir James Henderson got from a mummy at Pachacamac. Pachacamac is an ancient archeological site in Peru and was settled around 200 AD. Sir James Got this cloth in 1944 when they discovered a Kings tomb at the same time he was stationed there as ambassador to the queen. He also mailed himself (from Peru) a small ancient Poncho which appears to be a dolls Poncho or a miniature scale model poncho from the same period. In this lot you get the Cerecloth, the miniature poncho, the Queens official envelope with seal he mailed the poncho in, and Sir James' hand written note about the items.
